Creating a Digital Presence for a Private Wine Cellar in the City Centre

Sklípek na Masaryčce is a private wine cellar in Ústí nad Labem designed for tastings, private gatherings, corporate events, teambuildings, and smaller celebrations.

The project needed a website that could present the atmosphere of the place, explain the offer clearly, and make it easy for visitors to understand why the cellar is a suitable space for both personal and business events.

My role was to help create the website and shape the digital presentation of the project.

The work focused on visual direction, website structure, responsive implementation, content presentation, and creating a polished online presence that matched the character of the venue.

The project required design sensitivity, clear communication, and practical execution.

The Challenge

Sklípek na Masaryčce needed a website that would do more than simply list information.

The venue has a specific atmosphere: a private wine cellar in a central location, suitable for wine tastings, private events, corporate meetings, and relaxed gatherings.

The website needed to communicate that atmosphere clearly.

At the same time, visitors had to quickly understand what the space offers, who it is for, how it can be used, and what kind of experience they can expect.

The challenge was to:

  • create a professional online presentation
  • communicate the atmosphere of the wine cellar
  • present the venue as suitable for private and corporate events
  • make the offer easy to understand
  • structure the content clearly
  • support mobile visitors
  • use a visual style that felt elegant and warm
  • avoid making the website feel generic
  • create a digital presence that matched the physical space

The website needed to feel simple, trustworthy, and visually connected to the experience of visiting the cellar.

The Solution

I helped create a website that presents Sklípek na Masaryčce as a warm, elegant, and practical venue for private and business events.

The visual direction was built around a dark, premium-feeling palette with gold and neutral tones. This helped the website feel closer to the atmosphere of wine, evening events, private gatherings, and a more intimate cellar environment.

Instead of creating a generic rental-space website, the goal was to build a presentation that felt specific to the venue.

The solution focused on:

  • clear website structure
  • elegant visual direction
  • stronger presentation of the cellar atmosphere
  • mobile-friendly layout
  • clear explanation of the offer
  • better event-use positioning
  • simple navigation
  • polished visual hierarchy
  • a more professional first impression

The website was designed to help potential visitors quickly understand the space and imagine using it for their own event.

Website Design & Visual Direction

The website’s visual direction was important because Sklípek na Masaryčce is not a standard commercial service.

It is an experience-based venue.

The website needed to communicate mood, warmth, privacy, and hospitality.

The design used a darker visual style supported by gold and soft neutral tones. This helped create a more elegant feeling and made the website visually closer to the world of wine, evening gatherings, and private events.

The design direction focused on:

  • premium but approachable atmosphere
  • clear typography
  • dark and warm color palette
  • strong visual contrast
  • elegant section structure
  • simple content flow
  • mobile-friendly presentation
  • a more memorable brand feeling

The goal was not to overcomplicate the design, but to make the venue feel professional, inviting, and visually distinct.

Content Structure

A key part of the project was organizing the website content so visitors could quickly understand the offer.

The venue can be used for different types of events, including wine tastings, private parties, corporate events, teambuildings, and gatherings with friends.

That meant the website needed to present the space from multiple angles without becoming confusing.

The content structure helped explain:

  • what the venue is
  • where it is located
  • what types of events it is suitable for
  • what visitors can expect
  • how the space can be rented
  • what services and options are available
  • how to get in touch

This made the website more practical for visitors who arrive with different intentions.

Some visitors may be looking for a place for a private celebration. Others may be looking for a corporate teambuilding location or a smaller event space.

The website needed to support both.

Positioning the Venue

Sklípek na Masaryčce needed to be positioned clearly as more than just a cellar.

The website presented it as a flexible event space with a specific atmosphere.

That positioning matters because people are not only choosing a room. They are choosing the feeling of the event.

The website helped position the venue for:

  • private gatherings
  • wine tastings
  • corporate events
  • teambuildings
  • celebrations
  • smaller social events
  • relaxed evenings with friends

This helped make the offer easier to understand and more commercially useful.

Instead of presenting the venue only as a physical space, the website helped present it as an experience.

Responsive Website Experience

The website was created with mobile visitors in mind.

For local venues, many people discover and browse websites from their phones. They may be comparing options, checking availability, looking for photos, or trying to understand pricing and contact details quickly.

The website therefore needed to work clearly on both desktop and mobile.

The responsive implementation focused on:

  • readable content on mobile
  • clear section order
  • simple navigation
  • strong visual presentation on smaller screens
  • fast access to key information
  • consistent design across devices

This helped create a smoother experience for visitors regardless of how they accessed the website.

Technical & Deployment Support

The project also included support around the technical workflow of the website.

The site had a production environment and a development environment, making it easier to safely work on changes before publishing them live.

This helped keep the website workflow more stable and reduced the risk of breaking the live version during updates.

The technical setup supported:

  • live production deployment
  • separate development version
  • safer update workflow
  • structured project handling
  • more controlled publishing process

For a smaller website, this kind of setup is still valuable because it helps keep the public-facing website reliable.

What Was Delivered

The cooperation included:

  • website support for Sklípek na Masaryčce
  • visual direction
  • website layout support
  • responsive website implementation
  • content structure
  • presentation of the venue offer
  • event-focused positioning
  • mobile-friendly experience
  • dark and elegant visual style
  • clear section hierarchy
  • support for development and production workflow
  • polished online presentation for the venue

The project combined website design, frontend execution, content organization, visual positioning, and technical support.

The Result

Sklípek na Masaryčce gained a clearer and more professional digital presence.

The website helped present the cellar as a warm, elegant, and flexible venue for wine tastings, private gatherings, corporate events, teambuildings, and smaller celebrations.

The visual direction supported the atmosphere of the space, while the content structure made the offer easier to understand.

The responsive implementation helped the website work well across devices, making it easier for potential visitors to explore the venue from both desktop and mobile.

The result was a website that supports the business by making the venue easier to present, explain, and sell.

Key Takeaway

Experience-based venues need more than basic online information.

They need a website that communicates atmosphere, trust, use cases, and practical details at the same time.

For Sklípek na Masaryčce, I helped create a digital presentation that makes the venue easier to understand and easier to imagine as a place for private or corporate events.

The project shows how even a smaller website can create real business value when visual direction, content structure, and practical implementation work together.
